45' Triple Cabin Motor Yacht

Year:
1968

Price:
$18,000.00

Location:
Essex, CT

  • Description:
We are sad to be posting this, but our 1968 45’ triple cabin motor yacht Togetherness is for sale. Unfortunately, because of our age, we have decided she needs to go to a new owner. This wonderful triple cabin motor yacht has served us well. It was the “last boat” to leave the Matthews Factory, having been berthed there since launching. In 1990, the Connor family and Scottie dog, Chevis Regal, left Port Clinton for the long journey home to Connecticut. This boat served us well. We lived aboard most summers until 2004, when she was refitted with a complete new bottom by a shipwright from Mystic Seaport. The new bottom included every rib and plank and the garber plank. This restoration took four years. The boat is powered with twin 853 Detroit diesels; approximately 2700 hours; 8 ½ kw Onan generator, central AC, reverse cycle heat. There are three staterooms; twin berths in the stern with two huge closets and a double dresser; a mid stateroom with single berth, closet and dresser; twin bunks forward and two heads with showers; refrigerator and separate freezer, beautiful wood decks. This is a perfect cruiser or liveaboard. The windows need attention. We are asking $18,000.beb Please email Don at connor35@aol.com The boat is located in Essex, CT.

Model:
38’ Open Bridge Double Cabin Cruiser

Year:
1931

Price:
$235,000 OBO

Location:
Ithaca, NY

  • Description:
The DOWAGER has been in bristol/excellent condition for the past 18 years, under the loving stewardship of a single owner. DOWAGER is structurally better than new after a 1998-2002 restoration where the hull was rebuilt from the deck down, replacing all 132 white oak ribs, oak keel, engine beds, mahogany transom, cedar deck and more. The hull is extremely fair and true to her lines. All DOWAGER’S systems are new as of 2002, including: engine controls, electrical panels, shore power, wiring, plumbing, heads, tanks, shower, refrigeration, and propane. Both cabins were restored to their original elegance, with beveled glass mirrors, new upholstery, and screen doors. Sleeps six. A great 360 degree view from the flying bridge with restored helm and seating. This 1931 classic has an exceptionally strong hull and modern electronics and systems, yet everything visible is of its original era, and museum quality. For example, a SeaFrost refrigeration system has been adapted to the original ice box under the settee on the bridge deck, but you can’t tell by looking at it. Two heads with traditional Wilcox-Crittendon bronze and porcelain toilets were installed in 2002, each with a 20 gallon holding tank. Shower with pressure hot and cold water system in forward head. Attwood 10.5 gallon hot water heater. The boat was repowered in 1988 with a 100 horsepower Westerbeke 6 cylinder diesel which has about 385 engine hours (only 55 hours since Jan 2009). DOWAGER comes totally equipped with everything from dock lines, Danforth anchor, boat hook, custom wooden swim ladder, wicker chairs, and much more. This is a spectacular family boat, three generations of our family have loved gathering for magical summer days of cruising, swimming and fun on Cayuga Lake. DOWAGER has been meticulously maintained and docked under cover since the 2002 restoration. The most recent survey estimates a replacement value of $500,000. Asking $235,000 or best offer. See www.mvdowager.com for more details. Boat location is Ithaca, NY. Call or text Sarah Howell (206) 200-0220.

Model:
40' Standard Sedan

Year:
1939/40

Price:
$59,000 OBO

Location:
Tacoma, WA

  • Description:
The PIED PIPER is in excellent condition. Her hull is original and solid. Her engines are original and are in excellent condition. With her perfectly positioned twin engines, she steers and maneuvers like a dream. Her main salon feels like a comfortable living room. She has had just one owner for the past 15 years. The boat was professionally restored in 2004 and has been professionally and lovingly maintained ever since with an emphasis on keeping her original design, yet with the addition of many modern upgrades for comfort and safety. A few of the upgrades by the current owner are: radar, frig, freezer, 7K generator, oversize anchor with 300' chain and 300' line, 8' sailing dinghy, 6v system fully converted to 12v, fuel tanks replaced, water tank replaced, head system completely replaced, CD/stereo system added, etc. She was called a "38" model, but was stretched to 40' before launching by Matthews; she was built in 1939, but splashed in 1940. PIED PIPER has been moored under cover for the past 15 years (and likely for all her life) and is currently in a private boathouse (also for sale) at the Tacoma Yacht Club, Tacoma, WA.
